Biggest negative I have is that it has been impossible to determine what order the books should be. It is very frustrating to be in the dark as to something referred to that occurred in an earlier book that I haven't read yet. And even more disconcerting to find that someone killed off in a book read earlier is suddenly very much alive. It is like someone telling you the end of a movie before you have seen it. The edge is off and the fun of seeing what happens next is gone.I doubt I will buy anymore of this series.

Hayes continues his Santa Rosa Saga with continuing characters (Drifter, Latigo, Gabriel Moonlight & Lawless). Good set of characters with surprising outcomes.
If you have not read this book you should. It is really good. Has a lot of action, but some funny parts to. I have enjoyed reading this book.
Reading these books are like reading the books of great old writer's of western stories you know cowboy gits girl, cowboy rides off into the sunset.
Bought it for reading on the smart-phone. Short and easy reading, even in short chunks waiting for the bus. Straight forward no unexpected twists whatsoever.
good book
This is also a good short book by Steve Hayes. I learned after reading a little of that it should be read before Packing Iron since they both deal with some of the same characters.
